Dragons | Misericord | Kitchen

My customer wanted a greeting carved into the outside of the middle rail of an oversized door with a lot of glass. She racked her brain for weeks for just the right thing to say. Her minister mentioned this word one Sunday. —Effatha. It's Aramaic and it comes from scripture and it means, literally, 'be opened'. It seemed like an excellent sentiment with which to greet guests and a very clever thing to put on a door.
